Evan Crump

Artistic Director

Evan is the Founding Artistic Director and Playwright-in-Residence of Unstrung Harpist. He has written, produced, directed, and acted in numerous plays for the company.

Evan has been a professional actor in the Washington, DC area for over 15 years. He has taught theatre and acting at several colleges and universities. He received an MFA in Shakespeare in Performance from Mary Baldwin University and the American Shakespeare Center and a doctorate in theatre education from George Washington University.

Roberto Gato Echanique

Technical Director

A founding member of Unstrung Harpist, Roberto has worked as a set and lighting designer since the company's inception.

Roberto is an award-winning artist and published writer in a variety of print and digital formats. With over 15 years of experience in arts and events design, production, and management, Bob has made a career of taking ideas and bringing them to life in two or three dimensions.

Glen Oliff

Sound Designer

Glen is an accomplished musician, composer, and FX mixer whose design work has been featured in multiple Unstrung Harpist shows.

In addition to his repertoire of theatrical work, Glen has been playing bass in the DC area for over a decade with a variety of groups including the James Bazen Big Band, the Greg Jenkins Quartet, and the Brett Lemley Quartet, to name a few. He has opened for Maynard Ferguson, performed in clinics with both Stefon Harris and Allison Miller, and performed with Jamey Abersold.

Bruce Alan Rauscher

Bruce has acted in multiple Unstrung Harpist plays, including Dax in Lazarus. Bruce has received an ACT award for Best Actor and was nominated for a Helen Hayes award. He was also honored with a Mary Goldwater Award for acting by The Theater Lobby. Bruce graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Devora Zack

Devora performs internationally in stage, radio, TV, and film. She has been featured in several improv troupes and numerous commercials, PSAs, radio, and films. Her roles with Unstrung Harpist include Mina in Body Armor and Trish in Lazarus. She is also a best-selling author, disc jockey, tap dancer, consultant, and mom of three boys. Devora is a graduate of U-Penn and Cornell University.

Steve Lebens

Steve began his professional acting career at the Tyrone Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. While employed as a foreign service officer, he continued to pursue his interest in theater, producing and performing in stage productions in Karachi, Pakistan, Cologne, Germany, Bogota, Colombia, and Washington, DC. His work with Unstrung Harpist includes portraying Rude in Lazarus. Steve is a graduate of Hamline University in St. Paul.

John C. Bailey

John has performed as both a director and actor with Unstrung Harpist. With an extensive career in both theatre and film, he has a career spanning multiple decades and both coasts. John directed Genesis in 2010, which won Best Drama at the Capital Fringe Festival. He studied classical acting at Shakespeare and Company.

Alia Faith Williams

Alia is a DC area native who has worked in many facets of theatre throughout the region, most often as a director. Her work with Unstrung Harpist includes directing Flyboy to great acclaim and a five-star accolade in DC Theatre Scene. Alia holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Hofstra University.

Keegan Cassady

Keegan is an accomplished actor, director, and stage combatant with an extensive background in Shakespeare and classical acting. His directorial work for Unstrung Harpist includes Body Armor. Keegan has a BA in Theatre from William & Mary.

Tom Prewitt

Unstrung Harpist mourns the passing of Tom Prewitt, a gifted director and kind spirit who directed Shock/Trauma both at Capital Fringe and First Stage. A teacher, director, and fixture in the DC theatre scene for decades, Tom was a graduate of Harvard University.

Elizabeth Darby

Elizabeth is an actor with over 15 years of experience in the DC area. Her work with Unstrung Harpist includes Ophelia in Amputating Shakespeare. Elizabeth studied acting at Connecticut College and the National Theater Institute.

Talia Segal

Talia is an award-winning singer, musician, songwriter, and actor with almost two decades of experience. Her work with Unstrung Harpist includes acting and singing as Feste in Amputating Shakespeare. She has released four full albums and won multiple songwriting awards. Talia has a degree in songwriting from Berklee College of Music.

Micah Evans

Micah is an actor and web designer whose work both on stage and at a desk has proven invaluable to the Unstrung Harpist community. His site design contributes to Unstrung Harpist's web presence. Micah is a graduate of the University of Maryland.

Matt Johnson

Matt is a designer with over a decade of experience in theatre and event lighting. His work on Amputating Shakespeare was critical to the show's success as an aesthetic event. Matt is an alum of the University of Maryland.

Ruben Vellekoop

Ruben is a director and actor who has worked in the DC area for over 10 years. His directorial experience with Unstrung Harpist includes Lazarus. Ruben studied at Utrecht University in the Netherlands.

DJ MisS Guided

DJ MisS Guided, aka Michelle, is an emo DJ, sound designer, and musician. Her work with Unstrung Harpist includes effects and music for Amputating Shakespeare. She is a graduate of George Washington University.

David Jourdan

David is an actor with over 30 years of experience in the DC area. His performance credits with Unstrung Harpist include Lazarus. David has been a staple of Washington-area theatre in plays and musicals for a generation.

Lorrie Smith Saito

Lorrie is an actor and dancer with credits in theatre, film, and television. Her work with Unstrung Harpist includes Amputating Shakespeare, where she also served as choreographer. Lorrie is a graduate of George Mason University.
